- Create your own bot – If you can't find the perfect character, consider creating one yourself. Fill out personality, background, behavior, and dialogue style in as much detail as possible for the best results.
- Chat/roleplay – Engage with your chosen bot or custom-made character. Think of yourself as the director guiding the story.
Can Character AI Generate AI NSFW Stories?
While Character AI isn't designed as a dedicated NSFW AI writing tool, users have found ways to push it toward creating AI smut:
1. Use bots made for NSFW stories
Some creators make NSFW bots specifically to push Character AI's limits like NSFW Story Creator by @RoyalBleyk. We tested it to see if it could generate erotic stories. It could mention some explicit terms and create adult content, but only after a few back-and-forths. At first, it asked for preferences but the adult story it proceeded to write still leaned on the more SFW side.
Even after nudging it to turn up the spice level, it held back. When we finally asked for a fully explicit story, that's when it flat-out refused our prompt. So yes, this bot can produce adult stories, but they're more "vanilla" than fully explicit.
2. Repeatedly converse with the bot using NSFW prompts
Even if a bot isn't initially configured for NSFW content, some users say you can gradually push it into adult content by consistently using NSFW prompts. As one user explained:
"It kinda starts getting dirty after a while if you yourself keep saying dirty things and sending them."
By combining these two approaches, users can turn long roleplay (RP) sessions into developed stories. As one user shared:
"I put a lot of effort into my RPs by searching for unique names and staying up thinking about the plot. I feel silly because no one else will read them, and the bot doesn't remember anything anyway… so I've been thinking about posting my stories."
Another user shared how C.ai brings out their inner writer during RP sessions:
"I usually use C.ai when I want to read manhwa but can't find anything that suits my tastes, so I usually write them myself on that app lol."
